She was a survivor

who didn’t survive,

her scars from the battle were the tip

of a deep and dangerous iceberg

like the one that sank the titanic;

her aura was warm as honey and tea

but inside she was freezing,

shivering,

and none of the blankets in the world

would heat her.

She refused asking their help

and so she perished

and she could have survived

if only they had

offered,

if only they had

seen it.
