I put on silver and gold to conceal

the worries I hold and the wonders I told;

love brushes against our fingertips

and just when you think

it is about to grab you

it lets go

and leaves you abandoned

among the cobwebs and the bodies of old-

don’t worry, though,

you do have a soul;

you are not like the ones

the omnipotent want you to believe,

you are your own

and you will make it out.
