Glassy eyes

and a blank stare

make you wonder

if she cares;

lost in the world she created for herself

after the one they placed her in failed

to make her compelled.

I cry alone

but you would never know

the way the sun shone

that one day

so I made them pay

but love and kindness

only deepen my despair.
