A year took me

from bleeding arms

and lying in the dimly lit room

begging for forgiveness,

from the new yet old,

from the trying yet failing,

from the heart beating too fast

and the blood rushing too slowly

to

crystal healing

and dancing under the sunshine

thanking nature,

to the smiling yet anxious,

to the acceptance of failing,

to the stable heartbeats

and the light of the one we love the most.
